Tropical Storm Elsa to pass through our area tonight into tomorrow morning bringing some heavy rain and strong wind to parts of our area…
Heavy showers and thunderstorms have developed in our area as tropical moisture is moving into our area with Tropical Storm Elsa which will pass through our area tonight into tomorrow morning. This will cause some heavy showers and thunderstorms tonight into tomorrow morning with winds gusting up to 50 mph along the coast and on Long Island. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s.

Tomorrow Tropical Storm Elsa will depart our area in the morning, causing the showers and thunderstorms to end in the morning, and winds to subside, followed by variably cloudy skies and a chance of a shower or sprinkle the rest of the day. Highs will be in the 80’s.
Saturday is then looking variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Sunday through the following Wednesday, July 21st, are then looking variably cloudy with at least a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day, except possibly next Tuesday, July 20th. Highs will gradually rise from the 70’s to low 80’s Sunday, rising to the upper 70’s to mid 80’s Monday, the low to mid 80’s Tuesday, the 80’s Wednesday and Thursday, and the mid 80’s to low 90’s next Friday, then gradually dropping back to the 80’s to low 90’s next Saturday, the 80’s next Sunday, and the low to mid 80’s next Monday through Wednesday.
