Heavy flooding rain possible tomorrow night into Sunday in Central and Southern NJ…


Clouds will increase tomorrow with a chance of showers or thunderstorms developing at night, especially in Central and Southern NJ and on Long Island as a strong disturbance approaches from the south. The rain could be heavy at times late at night in Central and Southern NJ. Highs will be in the 80’s to low 90’s.

Sunday there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms ending at night in Central NJ and on Long Island and it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm elsewhere as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.


Monday will be variably cloudy with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.


Tuesday through next Saturday, August 14th, will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm each day. Highs will gradually rise from the 80’s Tuesday, to the 80’s to low 90’s Wednesday, and the mid 80’s to low 90’s Thursday and next Friday, then dropping back to the 80’s next Saturday.


Next Sunday, August 15th, through next Thursday, August 19th are then looking nice with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
