Thursday, August 26, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Chance of showers or thunderstorms returns today through Saturday, especially in southern sections Saturday, and then a hurricane will form in the Gulf of Mexico Saturday, possibly bringing us a rainy Labor Day weekend…


Today will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a stationary front starts to develop near our area. Highs will be in the mid 80’s to low 90’s.


Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a stationary front develops near our area. Highs will be in the 80’s.


Saturday will be mostly cloudy with showers or thunderstorms likely in East Central PA and Central and Southern NJ, possibly heavy at times, a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in Northeastern PA and Northern NJ, and a slight chance elsewhere as a disturbance develops along the stationary front and passes south of our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s.


A hurricane is likely to form in the Gulf of Mexico Saturday and head towards the Louisiana/Texas Gulf Coast region. This storm will then move northwards and then turn eastward, reaching a point near the Middle Atlantic Coast Labor Day weekend. Sunday is then looking dry, with variably cloudy skies and highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.


Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.


Tuesday is then looking nice behind the cold front, with variably cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.


Wednesday will then be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm in Central NJ as a disturbance passes to our south. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.


Next Thursday, September 2nd and next Friday, September 3rd, will then be nice with highs in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.


Next Saturday, September 4th, is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of the hurricane approach the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.


Next Sunday, September 5th, will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the remnants of the hurricane and a cold front pass through our area. Highs will be in the 70’s.


Next Monday, September 6th (Labor Day), through next Wednesday, September 8th, are then looking nice, with variably cloudy skies and highs in the 70’s Labor Day, the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Tuesday, and the 70’s next Wednesday.
