Heat wave today through Friday in much of our area and then Tropical Storm Fred may affect our area the middle to end of next week…
There will be a heat wave throughout a large part of our area today through Friday with highs mainly in the low to mid 90’s, except some temperatures in the mid to upper 80’s on Long Island and the upper 80’s along the NJ Coast. There will be just a slight chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm today, a chance of a nighttime shower or thunderstorm in Northeastern PA tomorrow as a cold front starts approaching from the west, and a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm throughout our area Friday as the cold front continues to approach.
Saturday will then be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 80’s.
Sunday will then be nice behind the cold front with variably cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Monday will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of a tropical disturbance/tropical storm/ or hurricane approach our area from the south. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.
Tuesday through next Thursday, August 19th, are then looking mostly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms as Tropical Storm Fred or his remnants may stall over our area. Highs will be in the mid 70’s to low 80’s.
Next Friday, August 20th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as the remnants of Tropical Storm Fred, or his remnants depart our area. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.

Next Saturday, August 21st, will be variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the low to mid 80’s.
Next Sunday, August 22nd, will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Next Monday, August 23rd is then looking variably cloudy with a chance of an afternoon or evening shower or thunderstorm with highs in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
Next Tuesday, August 24th, will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s.
