Sunday, October 24, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Two Nor’easters to deal with this week that could bring flooding rain and strong wind...


Today will be variably cloudy with showers developing tonight in Northeastern PA, far Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, as a warm front passes through our area. Highs will range from the low 50’s in Northeastern PA to the low 60’s in Central NJ.


Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a shower or sprinkle in the afternoon, then showers and possibly some thunderstorms will develop at night as a strong disturbance approaches from the west. The rain could be heavy at times. It will also be windy on Long Island and in Fairfield County, CT, with gusts of up to 50 mph possible. Highs will range from the upper 60’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 70’s in Central NJ.


Tuesday, showers, and thunderstorms will be likely, possibly heavy at times as the disturbance develops into a Nor’easter near the Middle Atlantic Coast. The rain could be heavy at times, with flooding possible in parts of our area, especially in Southeastern NY State and in Fairfield County, CT. It will also be windy with gusts of up to 50 mph possible. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.


Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the upper 50’s to mid 60’s.


Thursday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Friday, showers will be likely, and possibly a thunderstorm, as another approaching disturbance may develop into a Nor’easter along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s.


Saturday, showers will be likely as a Nor’easter may be situated near the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to mid 60’s.


Next Sunday, October 31st (Halloween), showers will be likely during the day, ending at night, as the Nor’easter pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the mid 50’s to low 60’s.


Next Monday, November 1st, through next Saturday, November 6th, are looking nice, but with a chance of a shower next Friday. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s next Monday, the upper 40’s to mid 50’s next Tuesday through Friday, and the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Saturday.
