Friday, December 31, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion

Unseasonably warm through Sunday, then colder with a slight chance of snow in Southern NJ, along the coast, and on Eastern Long Island Monday, then watching for a potential Nor’easter Thursday night into Friday morning, with the first chance of significant snow throughout our area…

Things will remain unsettled around here through the next two weeks with unseasonably warm temperatures through Sunday. Things will then cool down and a strong disturbance will pass just south and east of our area on Monday, possibly coming close enough to bring Southern NJ, the NJ Coast, and Eastern Long Island, a bit of snow, maybe.

Temperatures will then warm through Wednesday, possibly reaching the low 50’s in parts of our area on Wednesday. A cold front will then pass through our area, bringing colder air Thursday. A strong disturbance may then develop behind the front, possibly merging with a disturbance dropping through our area from the Great Lakes and becoming a Nor’easter off the NJ Coast Thursday night and Friday. If this were to occur, it would bring our area a significant snowstorm Thursday night and Friday.  We shall see what happens.

Have a fantastic day!
