Monday, December 6, 2021 - Daily Weather Discussion


Warm this afternoon, colder tomorrow, then a bit of snow in parts of our area Wednesday, with rain for the weekend…


Showers will develop again this afternoon and evening from west to east as a cold front approaches and then passes through our area. Highs will range from the low 50’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 60’s in Central NJ.


Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry as some Lake Effect moisture may reach parts of our area. Highs will range from the low 30’s in Northeastern PA to the low 40’s in East Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.


Wednesday will be variably cloudy with a chance of light snow in Northeastern PA, snow showers in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, and a chance of a flurry or some snow showers, in Central NJ, NYC, and Long Island, as a weak disturbance passes through our area. Lows will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s, with highs in the 30’s, with some low 40’s along the coast and on Eastern Long Island.

 

Total possible snowfall accumulation:

 

Trace to a Coating:  West Central and Northeastern N, Southeastern Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY State, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT

 

Coating to an inch possible:  East Central PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange, Northwestern Rockland and Putnam Counties in NY State, and Northern Fairfield County, CT


Around an inch likely:  Northeastern PA


Thursday and Friday will then be nice with highs rising from the mid 30’s to low 40’s Thursday to from the low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low to mid 50’s in East Central NJ Friday.


Saturday there will be a chance of rain as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will range from the mid 50’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 60’s in Central NJ.


Sunday there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will range from the upper 30’s in Northeastern PA to the upper 40’s in East Central NJ and on Eastern Long Island.


Next Monday, December 13th, through next Sunday, December 19th, are currently looking nice with highs gradually rising from the 40’s next Monday, to the mid to upper 40’s next Tuesday, the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Wednesday, and the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Thursday through Saturday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Sunday.
