A stationary front will develop near our area with several disturbances riding along it over the next two weeks, bringing chances for rain and snow to our area…
Light snow will develop tomorrow around midday as a weak disturbance approaches our area. The light snow will change to light rain in the afternoon and evening from west to east in much of our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
Total possible snowfall accumulation:
A trace possible: East Central and Northeastern NJ, NYC, Long Island
A coating to a half inch possible: West Central and Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, Fairfield County, CT
Half inch to an inch possible: East Central PA
Half inch to an inch and a half possible: Northeastern PA
Tuesday the light rain will end early in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with rain developing again in the afternoon and evening as another disturbance and warm front approach our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.
Wednesday, the rain will end in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
Thursday there will be a chance of rain early in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the 40’s.
New Year’s Eve will be variably cloudy with highs in the 40’s.
New Year’s Day there will be a chance of rain as another disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to mid 50’s.
Next Sunday, January 2nd, there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning, followed by variably cloudy skies as the disturbance and a cold front pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday, January 3rd, there will be a chance of snow in the morning, followed by clearing, as another disturbance may pass through our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Tuesday, January 4th, and next Wednesday, January 5th, will then be nice with highs rising from the low to mid 30’s next Tuesday to the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, January 6th, there will be a chance of rain or snow as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Friday, January 7th, there will be a chance of snow ending In the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s.
Next Saturday, January 8th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
