VERY HEAVY SNOWFALL likely in Southern NJ today, but big questions further north…
The one thing that is certain today is that Southern NJ will get a very heavy snowfall with widespread amounts of 6-12 inches likely, with localized amounts of up to 20 inches possible. The big questions remain further north. For details, please check my prior post, a look at the next two weeks and instead I will post below the medium range American model and the short-range American model snowfall maps for today, to show you the difficult nature of this forecast. Keep in mind that the European model looks similar to the Medium Range American model, and I will throw that in as well.
After this storm passes this evening, the next storm of interest may occur Thursday night into Friday morning, but it is too early to tell if this storm will even happen or if it does, whether it will affect our area. ..
