Snow likely in Southern and Coastal NJ, and on Long Island Monday, with a chance elsewhere, and then watching a potential Nor’easter that could bring areas further north in our area significant snow Thursday night into Friday morning…
Tonight, rain will be likely, possibly heavy at times, as a disturbance passes through our area.
Tomorrow, the rain will end in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower at night, possibly mixed with snow in Northeastern PA, as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will range from the 40’s in Northeastern PA to the mid to upper 50’s in Central NJ.
Sunday night, a strong disturbance will develop in the Southeastern Untied States, then move northeastward, strengthening as it does so, becoming a Nor’easter. This will bring snow Monday morning to Southern and East Central NJ, NYC, and Long Island, a chance of snow in East Central PA, West Central NJ, Northeastern NJ, Rockland ,and Westchester Counties in NY State, and in Southern Fairfield County, CT, and a slight chance in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State, and in Northern Fairfield County, CT. The track of this storm is still a bit uncertain, so be sure to check back for updates. Currently, it appears that Southern NJ has a chance of a significant snowfall, with it being less likely further north. Lows will be from the upper teens in Northeastern PA to the low 30’s in Southern and coastal NJ, with highs from the mid 20’s in Northeastern PA to the mid 30’s in Southern NJ.
Tuesday will then be mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30’s.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and warm with a chance of showers. Highs will be in the 40’s to low 50’s.
Thursday, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night as a strong disturbance will develop in the Southeastern United States and then move northeastward, strengthening as it does so and becoming a Nor’easter. This will bring our area a chance of snow Thursday night into Friday morning. Highs will be in the 30’s to low 40’s Thursday and only the mid 20’s to mid 30’s Friday.
Next Saturday, January 8th, will be mostly sunny with highs only in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Next Sunday, January 9th, will be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain or snow showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Monday, January 10th, through next Friday, January 14th, are currently looking nice with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday, the upper teens and 20’s next Tuesday, the mid 20’s to low 30’s next Wednesday, the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Thursday, and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s next Friday.
