Saturday, January 8, 2022 - Daily Weather Discussion


Freezing rain possible in much of our area tomorrow, especially in Northeastern PA, VERY cold Tuesday, and then keeping a close eye on the time period between Friday and Sunday for the potential of a significant snow event…


Clouds will increase tonight with light ran developing in the morning, with light freezing rain developing in Northeastern PA, and light freezing rain possible in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, NYC, and in Fairfield County, CT, likely changing to rain, except in Northeastern PA, and then ending at night as a cold front passes through our area. Highs tomorrow will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Monday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a s snow shower as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area. Highs will be in the upper teens and 20’s.


Tuesday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a snow shower or flurry in the morning as some Lake Effect moisture may reach our area early in the day. Highs will be in the single digits to mid teens.


Wednesday and Thursday will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Wednesday and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s Thursday.


Friday, there will be a slight chance of snow as a Nor’easter may develop off the East Coast, but it is till too early to tell how close to the coast this storm will come. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.


Next Saturday, January 15th, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night as a cold front will be approaching our area from the west. Highs will be in the 30’s.


Next Sunday, January 16th, there will be a chance of snow as a disturbance may develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Next Monday, January 17th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.


Next Tuesday, January 18th, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night as a disturbance may approach our area. Highs will be in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.


Next Wednesday, January 19th, will be variably cloudy with highs int eh low to mid 30’s.


Next Thursday, January 20th, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing in the afternoon as a disturbance my develop along the Middle Atlantic Coast. Highs will be in the 30’s.


Next Friday, January 21st, there will be a chance of snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing, as the disturbance pulls east of our area. Highs will be in the 30’s.
