Heavy snowfall and strong winds will develop tonight and continue into tomorrow afternoon in most places. Winds will gust as high as about 50 mph inland and 60 mph along the coast and especially on Eastern Long Island.
The European model has remained nearly the same from early this morning, so I only made so minor adjustments to my prior snowfall forecast.
Total possible snowfall accumulation:
3-7 inches – East Central and Northeastern PA
6-10 inches –Southeastern PA, Northwest NJ, Orange County, NY
6-12 inches – Southwestern NJ
8-14 inches – West Central NJ from west to east
10-14 inches – Northeastern NJ, Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam Counties in NY
12-15 inches – New York City
12-18 inches – Southeastern and East Central NJ from west to east,
14-18 inches - Western Long Island, and Fairfield County, CT
18-24 inches – Central Long Island
24-30 inches – Eastern Long Island
