Temperatures will get below freezing starting before sunrise in much of Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Southeastern NY State, and after sunrise in parts of Northeastern NJ, NYC, and Northern Fairfield County, CT.
The one thing that should help this time is that it has been above freezing for almost 48 hours before the cold air arrives, so the roads may end up being relatively ok in many places, but of course the hilly terrain in Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, and Orange County, NY can always be a challenge in situations like this. People in East Central PA, and the hilly areas of Northeastern NJ will need to keep an eye out for ice as well.
