Rain tomorrow, but temperatures continuing to warm, reaching the mid 60’s in parts of our area Wednesday, then watching for a mixture of precipitation that could cause some problems Friday morning, and then a chance of snow developing Sunday night into Monday…
A warm front will pass through our area tomorrow, bringing warmer temperatures and rain that will last into Wednesday, ending in the morning and early afternoon. Highs will reach the 50’s tomorrow and the mid 50’s to mid 60’s Wednesday.
Thursday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of a rain or snow shower as the cold font passes through our area and so moisture may develop behind the front. Highs will be in the low to mid 30’s.
Friday, snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain will develop in the morning, ending in the late morning and early afternoon. There could be a significant accumulation of snow in far Northeastern PA, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, and a significant accumulation of ice will be possible in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Saturday will then be mostly sunny but cold with highs in the upper 20’s to mid 30’s.
Sunday there will be a chance of snow developing at night as disturbance dropping down from Canada may at least partially merge with a disturbance moving eastward along the Gulf Coast, potentially forming a Nor’easter near the Middle Atlantic Coast.
Monday, there will be a chance of snow, depending upon if and how these two disturbances interact. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Wednesday, March 2nd, through next Sunday, March 6th, are currently looking nice with highs gradually rising from the mid to upper 30’s next Wednesday, to the low to mid 40’s next Thursday, the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Friday, and the mid 40’s to mid 50’s next Saturday and Sunday.
