There remains a high likelihood of significant snow in much of our area tomorrow, with the snow starting in the morning and ending in the late afternoon and early evening. I strongly believe based upon all available data that the National Weather Service forecast for a mixture of rain and snow in much of our area is completely wrong and quite honestly I have no idea how they came up with this forecast. I am not perfect by any means, but sometimes I literally have no idea what their forecast is based on, and this is one of those cases. The atmospheric profile from cloud to ground clearly indicates ALL snow in East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT, with 2-6 inches of accumulation likely. There will be a mixture further south in Southeastern PA, Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island where a coating to 2 inches will be possible.
Total Possible Snowfall Accumulation:
Coating to 2 inches of sleet and snow possible: Southeastern PA, Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island
2-6 inches of accumulation possible: East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT
