We need more rain around here and Newark, NJ broke and all-time heat record...

A lot of Central NJ missed the storms again today with only seven hundredths of an inch of rain at my location. We have had very little rain this summer and extreme drought conditions are developing in parts of our area. Newark, NJ broke an all-time record with five consecutive days with highs above 100 degrees.

A cold front moved through today, bringing severe thunderstorms to parts of our area and now tomorrow will be nice and cooler behind the front with highs in the low to mid 80's.

Wednesday there will be a chance of a shower or thunderstorm early in the morning in Southeastern PA and Southern NJ, with highs in the 80's.

Thursday and Friday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm as a cold front passes through our area late Friday. Highs will be in the mid 80's to low 90's Thursday and the 80's Friday.

The weekend will then be very nice with highs in the 80's.
