Friday, November 18, 2022 - Daily Weather Discussion

Some snow showers or squalls possible in parts of our area this evening could leave accumulating snow in parts of our area, then cold for the weekend and then watching a potential Nor’easter for next Friday…

This afternoon will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry and then there will be a chance of a snow shower or squall tonight as some Lake Effect moisture could reach our area. Any snow showers or squalls could leave an inch of accumulation, especially in East Central PA, Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and in Fairfield County, CT, with 2-3 inches possible in parts of Northeastern PA. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.

Tomorrow through Thanksgiving are then looking nice, but it will be cold this weekend with highs in the 30’s tomorrow and the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Sunday, rising to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Monday, the mid to upper 40’s Tuesday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s Wednesday, then dropping to the low to mid 40’s for Thanksgiving.

Next Friday, November 25th, two disturbances will approach our area, one dropping down from Canada and another approaching from the Southeastern United States. These two disturbances could combine near the Middle Atlantic Coast to form a Nor’easter, bringing us a chance of rain or snow. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Next Saturday, November 26th, there will be a chance of rain or snow ending in the morning, followed by clearing as the potential Nor’easter pulls away from our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.

Next Sunday, November 27th, through next Thursday, December 1st, are currently looking nice with highs gradually rising from the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Sunday, to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Monday and Tuesday, the low to mid 40’s next Wednesday, and the mid 40’s to low 50’s next Thursday.
