Friday, December 9, 2022 - Daily Weather Discussion

 

Some snow possible Sunday afternoon into Monday morning and then unsettled Thursday into Friday with rain and snow possible…


Today and tomorrow will be nice with highs in the low to mid 40’s today and the mid 30’s to low 40’s tomorrow.


Sunday, clouds will increase with rain and snow developing in the afternoon as a weak disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Monday, the rain and snow will ending in the morning, followed by clearing as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.


Total possible snowfall accumulation:

 

Trace to a coating possible:  Central NJ, NYC, Long Island

 

Coating to an inch possible:  East Central PA, Northeastern NJ, Rockland and Westchester Counties in NY State, Southern Fairfield County, CT

 

Coating to an inch or two possible:  Northwestern NJ, Putnam County, NY, Northern Fairfield County, CT

 

1-3 inches possible:  Northeastern PA, Orange County, NY



Tuesday and Wednesday will then be nice, but with increasing cloudiness late in the day Wednesday as a strong disturbance approaches our area. Highs will be in the mdi 30’s to mid 40’s Tuesday and the mid 30’s to low 40’s Wednesday.


Thursday, rain will be likely, possibly mixing with or changing to snow at night in parts of our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Next Friday, December 16th, the rain or snow will end in the morning or early afternoon, followed by clearing as the disturbance departs our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.


Next Sunday, December 17th, through next Thursday, December 22nd, are currently looking nice with highs in the 30’s next Sunday through Wednesday, and the 30’s to low 40’s next Thursday.
