Temperatures reaching the mid 60’s in parts of our area today, with rain developing later today but the real story is the possibility for a Nor’easter Friday and Saturday of next week…
Rain will develop later today and it will be unbelievably warm for early January with highs reaching the mid 60’s in parts of our area.
Tomorrow will be variably cloudy with a chance of a a sprinkle or shower and it will still be warm with highs in the 50’s.
Friday there will be a chance of a rain or snow shower and it will be cooler with highs in the 40’s.
Saturday will be variably cloudy with a chance of a flurry. It will be a bit cooler once again with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Sunday, clouds will increase with a chance of rain or snow developing in the evening as a weak disturbance approaches from the west. Highs will be in the mid to upper 30’s.
Monday through next Thursday, January 12trh will then be nice with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s Monday and Tuesday, the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Wednesday, and the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Thursday.
Next Friday, January 13th and next Saturday, January 14th, two disturbances will merge near Texas, then move along the Gulf Coast, before developing into a Northeastern near the Carolina Coast, and then moving Northeastward along the coast. This will bring our area a chance of rain or snow next Friday and Saturday, with the chance for a significant snowstorm in our area, depending on the exact track of the storm, but right now this one does appear to have the potential to be a significant snowstorm in our area. Be sure to check back as we get closer in time with better information. Depending on the exact track of the storm, highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s next Friday and the 30’s next Saturday.
Next Sunday, January 15th, will be variably cloudy with a chance of a snow shower in the morning with highs in the mid to upper 30’s.
Next Monday, January 16th, will be variably cloudy with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Next Tuesday, January 11th, will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as a disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
