Continued unbelievably warm weather for mid-winter…

This winter is going down in the history books as just unbelievably warm in our area. The month of January in NYC didn’t have one single day below normal and bizarrely the two coldest readings in my area occurred on Christmas Eve and again this weekend with a low of 3.8 exactly both days, but we skipped right over January.

As far as the chances for winter-like weather, there isn’t much to talk about at all. The only real chance for any snow right now appears to be Saturday morning when there is a chance that the rain could change to snow in parts of our area before ending.

Other than that, temperatures will again reach the low 50’s in parts of our area today, Wednesday, and Thursday, and the 50’s throughout our area Friday, but with chances for some rain tomorrow night, a chance for some showers Thursday, and rain developing Friday afternoon or evening and ending Saturday morning, possibly as a bit of snow in parts of our area.

Next week will feature more unbelievably warm weather with highs reaching the 50’s again in much of our area Monday through Friday.

This winter is going down in the record books as just unreal.  If this rate of global warming continues, our kids will be able to plant pineapples and palm trees here…
