It is quite cold today with highs only in the low to mid 20’s, but it will be short-lived with highs reaching the mid to upper 40’s tomorrow already and the mid 50’s in parts of our area Wednesday through Friday. There will be a chance of a flurry tomorrow night and Monday as we will be sandwiched between a storm well off the coast and some Lake Effect moisture to our west.
Next Saturday a disturbance may pass through our area, bringing a chance of rain or snow.
New York City did break the latest snowfall in the winter season with the date being February 1st. The prior record was set on January 29th, 1973. They have been keeping records in Central Park, NYC since 1869.
