Rain developing tonight, with a bit of snow possible at the start in Northeastern PA, then looking pretty good through the Thanksgiving weekend…
Clouds will increase today with rain developing this evening from west to east as a cold front and disturbance approach from the west. The rain could start as snow in Northeastern PA with a coating of accumulation possible in the higher elevations. The rain could then become heavy at night. Highs will be tonight and will range from the low 40’s in Northeastern PA and Orange and Putnam Counties in NY, to the lows 50’s in East Central NJ.
Tomorrow the rain will end in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle or shower in Northeast PA in the evening as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the 50’s to low 60’s.
Thanksgiving Day through the following week are currently looking good, with just a chance of a shower late in the day on Sunday, as it now appears that a disturbance that could have brought our area a chance for rain or snow the middle of next week should remain south of our area. Highs will be in the mid 40’s to low 50’s Thanksgiving Day, the upper 30’s and 40’s Friday, the mid to upper 30’s Saturday, the 40’s Sunday, the mid 40’s to low 50’s Monday, and the mid 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday through Friday.
