Flooding rain and damaging wind likely Tuesday night…
Ok, next up will be a strong disturbance and cold front approaching from the west and passing through our area Tuesday night.
First though, today will be nice with highs in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
Tomorrow, clouds will increase with rain and snow developing in the late morning and afternoon from west to east, becoming heavy at times at night, with flooding likely as 1.5-3 inches of rain will be likely. There will also likely be damaging winds, with gusts of up to 55 mph possible inland and up to 65 possible along the coast and up to 80 mph possible on Eastern Long Island. Highs will be in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s at night.
Wednesday the rain will end early in the morning, then it will be variably cloudy with a chance of a sprinkle or flurry. Highs will be in the upper 30’s and 40’s.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with highs in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Friday, clouds will increase with rain developing in the evening from southwest to northeast, possibly becoming heavy at times at night as another strong disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Highs will be in the upper 30’s to mid 40’s.
Saturday the rain will end early in the morning with highs ranging from the upper 30’s to low 40’s in Northeastern PA to the low 50’s in East Central NJ, NYC, and on Long Island.
Sunday and next Monday, January 15th, will then be nice with highs in the upper 20’s and 30’s next Sunday, and the mid 20’s to mid 30’s next Monday.
Next Tuesday, January 16th, there will be a chance of snow as a disturbance passes just southeast of our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Next Wednesday, January 17th, through next Sunday, January 21st, will be nice with highs in the 20’s to mid 30’s.
