Snow squalls/snow showers/flurries mid-day today, more significant snow possible Tuesday and again Friday…
A strong cold front is approaching our area and will bring some mid-day snow squalls/snow showers/flurries that could leave a coating of snow in parts of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northwestern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be this morning, ranging from around 30 in Northeastern PA to the mid 40’s in Southern NJ dropping in the afternoon.
It will then be cold tomorrow with increasing cloudiness and snow developing at night in Southern NJ. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.
Tuesday, there will be a chance of snow developing from southwest to northeast throughout our area as a disturbance passes to our south and east. There will be a chance for 1-3 inches of snowfall accumulation throughout our area, with up to 4 inches possible in parts of inland Central and Southern NJ. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to low 30’s.

Wednesday and Thursday will then be nice but cold with highs only in the upper teens to mid 20’s Wednesday, rising to the upper 20’s to mid 30’s Thursday.
Friday there will be a chance of snow as another disturbance will pass southeast of our area. Highs will be in the mid 20’s to mid 30’s.
Saturday and next Sunday, January 21st, will then be nice but cold with highs only in the mid-teens to mid 20’s Saturday, and the 20’s next Sunday.
Next Monday, January 22nd through next Wednesday, January 24th will then be nice with temperatures gradually warming from the low to mid 30’s next Monday, to the upper 30’s to mid 40’s next Tuesday, and the mid to upper 40’s next Wednesday.
Next Thursday, January 25th, will be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers as a disturbance and cold front approach from the west. Warm air will surge northward into our area ahead of the approaching cold front and disturbance with highs in the mid 40’s to low 50’s.
Next Friday, January 26th, there will be a chance of rain as the disturbance passes through our area. Highs will be in the 40’s.
Next Saturday, January 27th, there will be a chance of a shower in the morning, with gradual clearing in the afternoon as the cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to mid 40’s.
