A shower or some sprinkles tonight, showers likely tomorrow morning, then rain developing again Sunday, changing to snow, with significant accumulations possible in parts of our area…
There will be a chance of a shower or sprinkle tonight and then showers will be likely tomorrow morning, followed by clearing. There will be a massive range in temperatures tomorrow, with highs ranging from only the mid 40’s in Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State and Fairfield County, CT, to the mid to upper 60’s to low 70’s in inland Southern NJ.
Saturday, clouds will increase late in the day with rain developing at night in Southern NJ. Highs will be in the 40’s.
This weekend a bit of an interesting system will develop as a disturbance approaching from the Southwestern United States merges with a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico, then turns northward, reaching the Middle Atlantic Coast by Sunday afternoon and then exciting eastward south of Long Island. This will cause rain to develop in Southern NJ Saturday night and the rest of our area by Sunday morning. The rain will then gradually change to snow throughout our area Sunday as the storm pulls colder air into our area as it departs eastward south of South Island.
Sunday, rain will be likely in the morning, gradually changing to snow during the day from northwest to southeast, except snow possible in Northeastern PA and Orange and Putnam Counties in NY State. There will be a chance for a significant accumulation of snow in parts of East Central and Northeastern PA, Northern NJ (especially Northwestern NJ), Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Monday, any snow will end early in the morning, followed by clearing. Highs will be in the mid 30’s to low 40’s.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the 30’s.
