Unbelievable snowfall totals yesterday morning in parts of our area…
The snowfall yesterday morning was incredible in parts of our area as there were extremely high ratios. Usually, one inch of rain equates to 10 inches of snow, but that ratio varies based on upper-level air conditions and temperatures. Yesterday we saw only a quarter to a third of an inch of precipitation in parts of Central NJ, but that ended up equating to 10-14 inches of snow in places, which means a ratio of 30 to 40 to 1, which is incredible, but happens sometimes.

Moving forward, it is looking like this could be the end of significant snow in our area for a while as it will be nice through Thursday, and then Friday morning now looks like a rain event, followed by a chance of some snow showers Saturday.
Temperatures will then rapidly warm to the low 60’s in parts of our area by the middle of the following week with showers likely next Tuesday, February 27th through next Saturday, March 2nd.
