Hurricane Helene remnants to bring us an extended period of unsettled weather…
A cold front has reached our area, but will stall now as Hurricane Helene makes landfall along the Florida Panhandle. This will bring us an extended period of unsettled weather with rain/light rain/drizzle/showers through Wednesday. The heaviest rain is likely to fall Tuesday as the main remnants of Helne reach our area. Highs will gradually drop from the 70’s today, to the low to mid 70’s tomorrow, the upper 60’s to low 70’s Saturday through Monday, and the mid 60’s to low 70’s Tuesday and Wednesday. The rain should not be heavy enough to cause any problems with flooding, especially after the recent extremely dry period we have experienced.
Next Thursday, October 3rd through next Wednesday, October 9th are currently looking good with just a slight chance of a shower or thunderstorm next Tuesday, October 8th as a cold front passes through our area. Highs will be in the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Thursday, the upper 60’s to mid 70’s next Friday, the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Saturday through Monday, the mid 60’s to mid 70’s next Tuesday, and the mid 60’s to low 70’s next Wednesday.
