Thursday, January 9, 2025 - Weather Discussion

A bit of snow possible Saturday morning, otherwise, cold and dry through next weekend and then a chance of rain or snow next Monday into Tuesday…

It will be cold and pretty dry through next weekend, with the exception of Saturday morning when there could be a bit of snow as a couple of disturbances pass by our area, one well to the north, and one well to the south, leaving us caught right between with a chance of only a trace to an inch of snow throughout out area. At one point a while ago it appeared as if these two disturbances might merge, giving us a very significant snowfall, but nope, that isn’t happening.

Moving forward, it will remain cold and dry through next weekend with the next chance of precipitation being next Monday, January 20th, into the morning of next Tuesday, January 21st, as a disturbance approaches our area from the Southeastern United States. It is still far too early to tell how much precipitation or what type of precipitation will occur with this disturbance.
