Friday Evening Update

Snowfall update for tomorrow and then watching Wednesday night into Thursday...

The snow will start in the late morning or early afternoon in much of our area tomorrow, changing to sleet and freezing rain at night and then rain, ending on Sunday.

After this storm passes, we will need to keep an eye on the potential for a storm to affect our area Wednesday night into Thursday as a disturbance passes southeast of our area. It is still too early to tell whether this system will affect our area.  The physics-based models currently shows the potential for a very significant snowstorm with this system, while the AI based model does not show any effect on our area at all, with the system passing out to sea south and east of our area. This will be very telling but I have to tell you straight out that the AI based model is performing MUCH better and it isn't even close, but this is the first very serious test for the AI based model.  It will be fun to watch, but the best guess right now has to be that this system will be a miss.
