Saturday, February 8, 2025 - Weather Discussion

Snow developing tonight, mixing with sleet and freezing rain and sleet in parts of our area, and possibly even some rain near the coast, and then watching the middle of next week…

Snow will develop this evening, mixing with sleet and freezing rain south of roughly Rt. 78 and possibly even rain near the NJ Coast, ending late at night.  Significant snow is likely north of about Rt. 78 and significant icing is likely inland south of roughly Rt. 80.

There will be just a chance of a snow shower in the morning in Southeastern NY State and Fairfield County, CT .

Monday will then be nice, followed by a chance of snow Tuesday and Wednesday as a disturbance passes south of our area. It is too early to tell if this disturbance will come far enough north to affect our area, especially northern sections, but South Jersey is likely to get accumulating snow Tuesday and possibly Wednesday as well.

Wednesday night, snow, sleet, and freezing rain will develop, likely changing to rain near the coast, and possibly inland as well.

Thursday morning the snow, sleet, freezing rain, and rain will end in the morning

Friday will be nice, followed by chance of snow developing Saturday afternoon, likely changing to sleet and freezing rain and then rain Saturday night.

Next Sunday there will be a chance of rain ending in the morning.

Next Monday and next Tuesday will then be nice but cold with highs only in the upper teens and 20’s.

Next Wednesday, February 19th, clouds will increase with a chance of snow developing at night.

Next Thursday, February 20th, into the morning of next Friday, February 21st, there will be a chance of snow.
