Rain and some freezing rain at the start, then windy and rain ending tomorrow, some snow showers likely Thursday, and then as for next week, well…
Temperatures will warm the rest of the day today and overnight as warm air surges northward into our area ahead of an approaching cold front. Rain will develop this evening, possibly starting as some freezing rain in Northeast PA and parts of Northern NJ, Southeastern NY State, and Fairfield County, CT.
Tomorrow the rain should end around mid-day as the cold front passes through, and it will become windy.
The next minor concern will be a weak disturbance that will pass through our area Thursday, likely bringing some snow showers.
Then things are likely to get even more interesting next week as there will likely be lots of cold air in place in our area and a couple of disturbances may approach next Monday January 5th and next Thursday, January 8th,bringing chances for snow.
