Significant Snowstorm likely Saturday night and Sunday…
A strong cold front will pass through our area late Thursday, bringing very cold air into our area for the weekend.
Saturday, a strong disturbance will then move eastward along the Gulf Coast, as a disturbance dives down from the Rockies, combining with the disturbance along the Gulf Coast, causing the disturbance to turn northeastward, reaching our area Saturday night . The disturbance will then exit the Middle Atlantic Coast late Sunday.
The track and intensity of this storm will bring a significant snowfall from New Mexico northeastward through our area and Southern New England. At the moment the heaviest snowfall looks to be from Arkansas, through Western Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Southern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaire, NJ, Long Island, and Cape Cod..
Within the area listed above, the heaviest band currently is centered on the models from Arkansas, through Western Tenneses, Kentucky, West Viriginia, Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
This storm is still 4 days away, so the models will definitely change somewhat over time, so check back for important updates over the next few days.
