So, now the question is, “will it snow this weekend?"
Yesterday afternoon the models I most closely follow indicated a heightened chance for a significant snowstorm this weekend as it had increased chances for the Northern Jet Stream and the Southern Jet Stream to at least somewhat merge. This morning, the models have shifted a bit away from what they showed yesterday afternoon.
This new information causes me to downgrade the chance for snow this weekend to a slight chance. It all depends on whether or how much the two jet streams interact. If they fail to interact we will be left with a fairly nice weekend. If they do merge we will get a least some snow, and if they were to fully merge we would be in store for a huge snowstorm.
Have to wait and see, but right now, just a slight chance for snow developing Sunday afternoon and ending early Monday morning.
We will then have to watch Wednesday through Friday as several weak disturbances pass through our area.
