Thursday, February 12, 2026 - Weather Discussion

Stil watching this weekend…

The only thing of consequence to talk about right now is the disturbance that will be moving across the Southern United States this weekend. Our weather here for the weekend will be determined completely on whether this disturbance merges with a disturbance that will be passing through the Northern United States. If is doesn’t we will have a dry and rather nice weekend. If it does, it would cause snow to develop Sunday afternoon, continuing into Monday morning, and if it merges completely it would bring heavy snow to our area.

The best guess right now is that it is a miss and we are left dry with a nice weekend, but the possibility still exists for a partial or even full merger with the Northern Jet Stream, so we need to continue to keep a close eye on this situation.
