Latest Short Range Model Run Comes in Warmer

The latest run of the short-range American model has come in warmer with the surface temperatures, so it is possible that tomorrow morning’s commute will not be as bad as previously feared. In fact, if we are lucky and temperatures do remain above freezing, it is possible that we could see mainly rain, especially in areas further to the south. This is what I was thinking prior to yesterday morning's models coming out with a colder solution and making changes in the forecast. We will have to wait and see but I am hoping that we stay above freezing. If we do, it will make it difficult for any snow to accumulate, even if it does fall as snow instead of rain in the morning. This will all be about ground temperatures.

  1. Good call with the rain - look for middle of week to be similar scenario - maybe a grassy surface accumulation type thing - this late in the year everythig has to work out perfectly - especially day events
