The precipitation early tomorrow morning will definitely fall from the clouds as snow, but it might melt before it makes it to the ground, if we are lucky. We just have to wait and watch the temperatures as they fall tonight. It can snow up to about 35-36 degrees under these conditions but it would have a hard time sticking at those temperatures even if it does snow. I hope that we will escape problems for the morning rush. My biggest concern with this storm is for those who live in the higher elevations of Sussex County. Those areas have the best chances for getting below freezing and therefore of having accumulating snow.
As for the Wednesday/Thursday storm, this storm has a great deal more potential for causing problems. Snow will start around 4am on Wednesday morning and continue until Thursday morning. It will probably stay snow the entire time, but there is the possibility of it mixing with rain or sleet for a time during mid-day on Wednesday, but that is questionable. We will probably end up getting 3-6 inches of snow the way it looks now and possibly a little more if it does not mix with rain or sleet.
