Friday Morning Update
A storm will pass close by on Sunday, probably bringing snow to northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. but missing us to the south. The next storm of concern will be a weak one that passes through on Tuesday night and early on Wednesday. This storm could be in the form of rain or snow, or both. If it falls as snow, which is definitely possible, it would be a 1 or 2-inch type storm. The bigger and much more interesting storm of concern will be on Friday according to both the American and European models. This has the potential to be a very intense storm with significant precipitation and strong winds as it develops over the southeastern United States and moves north into our area, as it strengthens. This storm could fall in the form of rain or snow, or both, depending on the exact track of the center of low pressure. The American model goes out to 16 days, and as of now, there is no let-up to the cold weather with chances of snow, right through the end of the 16-day period, according to the model. Stay tuned. Have a great day everyone!
