Mother Nature Played an April Fool’s Joke on All of Us
Mother Nature played an April fool’s joke on all of us. Well, this was a colossal bust by the weather models. This happens once out of about every 10 times that the models miss a storm by this much. The funny thing is that the last time the models did this poorly was the first storm of the season, just prior to the December 26 blizzard when there was supposed to be another blizzard that also missed us to east and went out to sea. Today’s storm will be a big storm for New England, it formed too far to the east to bring us much of anything. Let us hope this is the last time we have to talk about winter weather until next year. I think we all need a break at this point. However, I cannot make any promises just yet. Anyway, enjoy the lack of snow this morning. I am. Well, I wrote this an hour ago, and of course it is snowing now and 32 degrees. Spring in New Jersey, you just have to love it.

Great lesson for mets not to fall in love with every model and base their forecasts soley on each run. So many corny April fools jokes this morning on TV!
ReplyDeleteJay, they should not do that, and if they do, that is a mistake. You have to watch for patterns and it changed at the last minute. Anyway, it is snowing pretty good right now.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I'm glad it missed and you were wrong. I was at the Yankee game yesterday and it felt like I was at the Meadowlands in December. Bring on Spring!!
ReplyDeleteI am too. Must have been great to see those two home runs.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking the same thing you wrote about. Models missed on first storm of the year, then you went about 10-0, then we had today......Oh Well.
ReplyDeleteGREAT YEAR!
I am looking forward to forecasts throughout the spring and summer.
Reading 75 and sunny will be a treat, actual "Hazy, Hot and Humid" sounds great right now!!!
Thanks Edge!
Thanks Mike. I am also looking forward to summer.
