My Final Forecast of 1-3 Inches With Locally 4 May End Up Working Out After All

I think my final forecast of 1-3 inches with locally 4 will end up working out after all. The radar is showing that the storm has intensified as forecast and an upper level piece of energy is moving through now that should drop 1-3 with locally 4 inches throughout the area this morning. The snow may intensify over the next couple of hours as the system moves through. This morning as I was driving through Allamuchy Township in Warren County near exit 19 on Rt. 80 and Mt. Olive in Morris County near exit 27 on Rt. 80 there was about an inch of snow on the ground already.

  1. Edge - good try with this one - Mother Nature threw the old left hook to close out the season on the weathermen in round 12. A coating up in WM on grass only - maybe they meant 6-12 millimeters yesterday?

Good Season - I think you should do a Yankees blog in the offseason.

  2. It may actually start snowing pretty hard up there in a bit, if it is not already. The radar is really showing the upper level low being pretty strong and pushing through our area. It is snowing hard in Blairstown right now and accumulating at my home. The temperature actually dropped below freezing as well as this is moving through.

  5. Jay,

Yes, it was a bust. Interestingly enough the two biggest busts were the first and last storms of the season. The models thought the upper level low would catch up with the system off shore, but it never happened.
