Organized Area of Rain Just Developed

An organized area of steady to locally heavy rain has developed across Northern New Jersey, resulting in a Special Weather Statement by the National Weather Service for the possibility of rising streams and ponding on roadways. This area should move through over the next few hours and is not expected to lead to flooding but it would not take much rain at this point to cause flooding, so this will need to be watched closely.
