Wednesday Morning's Weather Discussion

The European model has backed down quite a bit on its snow threat for Saturday, but it is still very close to showing it. Meanwhile, all of the other models have come closer to the snow threat, but are still not quite there. The British model still has the big snow threat. The morning run of the Japanese model does not go far enough out to see if it will still be a big threat for us or not, but trying to extrapolate it out to Saturday, it looks like it might still be a big threat. I will leave the mention of a chance of rain or snow for Saturday, but please keep in mind that there is still a decent chance of a big storm on Saturday, which could be a big snow threat. We will just have to wait and see. It is possible that the European model just had a bad run this morning, which happens occasionally, and the model is only run twice a day, so now we have to wait until around 2:30 this afternoon before we will know whether that is the case. Fortunately, many other models come out before then, so I will have an opportunity to digest that information prior to then. The main forecast office of the National Weather Service still believes the old run of the European model may have been right, and so do I. Also, here is a map from Accuweather that shows a map of the possible storm threat. I will keep you updated. Stay tuned!
