Friday Morning's Weather Discussion
It will be a nice day today but it will be cold, tomorrow will be nice but warmer, then Sunday there will be just a slight chance of a shower, but it will be warmer, with temperatures around 60 degrees. On Monday, a cold front will push south from Canada and approach area, bringing with it a chance for a shower and this chance of a shower will continue for Tuesday, as the front remains close by, just slightly to our north. Then on Tuesday night, a storm system will develop in the Southeastern United States and move in our direction. The exact track that the storm takes will determine whether the precipitation it brings to our area is rain or snow. If the storm center moves North of our area or directly over us the precipitation will be rain. If the storm center moves south of us, it will allow the cold air to move into our area and it may be just cold enough for snow. The precipitation should start late on Tuesday or very early on Wednesday and continue until at least Wednesday afternoon. The models have been having a very difficult time determining the specifics of this storm, so we may have to wait a few more days before we know whether we are in store for rain or snow on Wednesday. There will also likely be a strong storm developing in our area next Sunday the 27th and Monday the 28th that may continue into Tuesday the 29th. It is much too early to tell specifics for this storm as well, but it has the potential to bring heavy rains or snows, depending on how and where it develops. Stay tuned.
