TODAY – showers and thunderstorms likely, especially early this afternoon, some clearing late in the day, high in the middle 70’s

TOMORROW – mostly cloudy, slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the upper 50’s, high in the middle 70’s

FRIDAY – showers likely in the morning, slight chance of showers in the afternoon, some clearing late in the day, low in the upper 50’s, high in the middle 70’s

SATURDAY – mostly sunny, slight chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the lower 60’s, high in the middle 80’s

SUNDAY – partly to mostly sunny, chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the lower 60’s, high in the lower 80’s

MEMORIAL DAY – partly to mostly sunny, chance of showers and thunderstorms, low in the middle 60’s, high in the middle 80’s

TUESDAY – showers and thunderstorms likely, low in the upper 60’s, high in the lower 80’s

NEXT WEDNESDAY – sunny, low in the lower 60’s, high in the middle 80’s

  1. I'm not seeing this heat wave you speak of? Don't we need 3 consecutive days of 90 degrees for a heat wave or has my memory failed me?

  2. Hi Mike. Yes, you are correct, that would be my definition of a heat wave. There is a chance that we might have one, but as the model shows this morning, if we get the showers and thunderstorms that now look likely almost every day, it should keep our temperatures down enough to keep us in the 80's. As I mention in the discussion, if the showers and thunderstorms don't materialize, this would increase the chances of seeing a heat wave by your and my definition. Noting is set in stone just yet.
