The evening run of the American model is now looking
very much like the European model, keeping the storm south and east of us, but
it is MUCH more intense with the storm.
The American model would also indicate the possibility of the
precipitation starting on Tuesday morning as frozen precipitation, then
changing to rain during the day on Tuesday, and then changing back to snow
before ending on Wednesday. The American
model does slow the storm down also, keeping the precipitation going until
Wednesday night. This run of the
American model really does raise some red flags though in my mind because if
the model continues to trend colder and if this storm cuts just a touch further
south, and if it is really that intense, this would really have the potential
of being a significant snowstorm. We
will just have to wait and see. Please
check back for updates. The next run of
the European model comes out early in the morning.
