I hope everyone reading this has power restored by this
weekend because it will start getting progressively colder each day, until
Tuesday morning when the lows will reach the upper teens to lower 20’s in most
locations. Unfortunately, the potential
Nor’easter is starting to look more likely and it has shifted to more of a snow
concern, especially in Northwest New Jersey where as much as 6-12 inches of
snow may fall, with 3-6 inches possible in Morris and Northern Passaic Counties,
and 1-3 inches in Bergen, Southern Passaic, Essex, Union, and Hudson
Counties. Unfortunately the winds may
also gust 25-35mph on Wednesday and early Thursday, with gusts as high as 50mph
possible in some locations. I hope that
the trees leaning on the power lines are removed by then. None of this is yet a certainly, and it is
based on the European model, which has the highest degree of accuracy and did
the best with Hurricane Sandy by far.
Stay tuned for updates or changes.
I hope that the storm moves further east and misses us, but that is the
way it looks right now.
