Early Morning European Model Update

The early morning run of the European model shows about an inch of accumulation for the Christmas Eve into Christmas morning storm and has trended even colder now with the Wednesday/Thursday storm and now has Sussex, Northern Warren, Northwestern Morris, and Northern Passaic Counties as either all snow or nearly all snow, with as much as a foot of snow possible there, but areas south and east of there would likely only get 1-3 inches before it changed to rain, as the model shows the storm pulling some warm air in off the ocean. The model is now only about 10-20 miles north of us with the rain/snow line, so any further trend southward with this storm would cause all of Northern New Jersey to be snow.  As far as next weekend's storm, it now looks to be a 6-12 inch snowfall for everyone. The only good news is that it will get so cold after the storm next weekend that it should keep the January 1st or 2nd storm threat safely out to sea. Check back for updates.
