I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas and Maybe a Very White December 26th-27th

Both the American and European models are showing the possibilty of 3-5 inches of snow in Northern New Jersey for Christmas Eve/Christmas morning, and possibly 12-18 inches from Wednesday afternoon into Thursday. The first storm is more likely to be all snow, likely starting late on Christmas Eve and ending early on Christmas morning.  The second storm, starting on Wednesday afternoon could still be rain or snow, but both models now indicate a higher liklihood of this storm also being snow, or at the very least a mixture of rain and snow.  If it ends up being all snow, this storm has the potential to produce 12-18 inches in Northern New Jersey.  And, yes I am still watching for the possibilty of another strong storm for the day after New Year's.  Check back for updates.
