A weak storm system will approach our area today, bringing
light snow starting around 4pm in western sections and 5pm in eastern sections
and ending around 8pm in western sections and 9pm in eastern sections, with
total accumulations of a dusting to an inch or two. This weekend will then be nice, but cold,
before another weak storm approaches on Monday.
On Monday this storm will bring more light snow to the area starting
around 2 or 3pm, but it will then mix with or change to light sleet and
freezing rain that will continue until late at night, possibly causing some ice
accumulation after a dusting of snow accumulation. Showers will then be likely on Tuesday as a
cold front approaches, but the temperatures will warm dramatically, reaching 50
degrees as warm air surges north ahead of the cold front. Wednesday we will then have a chance of a
Lake Effect snow shower, and then things will clear out for Thursday. On Thursday of next week, a rather strong
storm system may then start to develop along the Gulf Coast. This storm may then start to turn north up
the coast, and could possibly bring us some snow on Friday depending on whether
it rides up the coast, or just turns out to sea and remains to our south. I will keep a close on eye on this
storm. Check back for updates.
