Afternoon European Model Update - Things May Get Interesting

The afternoon run of the European model just changed the evolution of the Tuesday night storm quite a bit.  It now keeps areas roughly north of Rt. 80 and West of Rt. 287 as snow for the entire storm, and changes everyone over to snow by Wednesday night and has the light snow continue until Friday morning.  It then develops a strong Nor'easter again that just misses us to the east on Saturday and Sunday.  This storm is still a very long way out, but if by any chance this model is correct, areas that remain all snow would get a lot, and if by any chance the second storm for next weekend were to also hit us, then well, look out.  Let us hold off on getting too excited here, but honestly, I have been talking about this potential for a long time and the pattern looks amazing next week.   The blocking in place is substantial so the first storm starts to hit on Tuesday afternoon and stalls out until Friday morning when a Nor’easter starts to form off the coast.  The model shows the main precipitation falling from Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning, but light snow continuing through Friday morning, then a strong Nor’easter forms but just misses us to the east.  We shall see.  Things may very well get quite interesting next week.  If by any chance both storms hit, some areas would actually see snow next week from Tuesday afternoon through Sunday.  Well, that just cannot happen, right?  Who knows anymore?
