Last night the temperatures were a bit too warm to allow the
snow to accumulate in most locations, although some 1-2 inch amounts were
reported in our area. Today a Nor’easter
will start to develop near Cape Hatteras, North Carolina and this storm will
then move north off the East Coast as it develops into a very strong Nor’easter. This storm may bring some light snow back to
Northern New Jersey tonight, which could accumulate to a dusting to an inch in
some locations. From Eastern Long Island into Eastern New England, there will
be more snow, and strong winds, bringing near blizzard conditions or blizzard
conditions to those locations, especially in Eastern New England tonight and
tomorrow. The next storm to approach our
area will be on Tuesday, and this storm will bring a bit of rain with it. After this, the next storm to watch will be
for Friday afternoon and night, possibly into Saturday morning. This storm has the potential to bring some
accumulating snow with it, so check back for updates. After this storm, there will be storms for
the next Tuesday and Friday that will bring rain or snow with them depending
upon the tracks that the storms take. I
have decided to test a 14-day forecast for the next week. I definitely feel comfortable with my ability
to put out a quality forecast for 14 days into the future. Let us see how this works out. Have a great day everyone!
